I first prepared Alura’s face with my eye cream, it has a little caffeine in it to help depuff her peepers. It also has a pearlescent finish to help reflect light and blur any imperfections and fine lines, just like a snapchat filter. We continued with eye primer to prevent eyelids from getting oily and keep her eyeshadow on all day. Alura’s skin was also appropriately perfected with a oil controlling moisturizer only down her T-zone where she normally gets oily. The rest of her skin was prepped with a time released moisturizer with spf 35.
I then applied my go to, hands down favorite foundation ever! Created by Kevyn Aucoin, I used his sensual skin enhancer in a shade that matched her skin perfectly. I used my fingertips starting at the center of her face then, began blending outward and finished blending in with a brush. A deep berry lipstick shade was applied to the apples of the cheek and blended upwards to the temple.
Using a medium fluffy blending brush, I blended a soft reddish brown shadow from my NYX contour pallet to the crease of her eye and blended outward. A light frosty color was applied to the tear duct and blended well. I then applied rose gold loose pigment using the same fluffy brush to the eyelid , which gave her a bright, sexy bedroom-eye look.
A small amount of brown liner was applied into the lash line of the outer 1/3 of the eye and blended slightly upward to create a soft smokey liner. Black mascara http://www.maybelline.com/Products/Eye-Makeup/Mascara/the-falsies-big-eyes-rebel-black-waterproof.aspx was applied to curled lashes top and bottom. If you have an extra 30 seconds a little white liner to the lower lash line gives an instant brightness to your peepers.
The same berry toned lipstick was dabbed on the center of the lips and blended outward using a lip brush and blotted with a napkin.
Brows were groomed upward and filled in lightly using Symmetry Cosmetics Brow Balm then using a precision pencil added little hairlike strokes to create a softer defined brow.
Lastly a golden bronzer was applied to the outlines of her bone structure using a large fluffy brush and a light shimmery powder was applied to the high points of her face using my fingers.
I hope you have fun recreating this look and remember you can always add or take away from it to make it your own. Till next time.
